What is LATISSE™?
LATISSE™ solution is indicated to treat hypotrochosis of the eyelashes by increasing their growth, including length, thickness, and darkness.

What is the active ingredient in LATISSE™?
The active ingredient in LATISSE™ is bimotoprost 0.03%.

How is LATISSE™ solution different from other products?
Only LATISSE™ has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes. It also has been studied in a clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and efficacy.

How does it work?
LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase. Exact mechanism of action is unknown.

What if patients stop using LATISSE™?
Patients’ eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.

Who can prescribe LATISSE™?
An physician can prescribe LATISSE™ solution. Patients can use the Find a Doctor tool at www.latisse.com to locate physicians near them who can prescribe LATISSE™.

Is LATISSE™ available on the Internet?
LATISSE™ is available by prescription only and is distributed by physicians’ offices and retail pharmacies.

How will patients learn about LATISSE™?
Allergan is supporting the launch of LATISSE™ solution with massive consumer advertising, including TV, magazines, and the Internet. You’ve been given in-office materials to also help raise awareness and start the conversation.

Why do contact lenses need to be removed before applying?
As a precaution, it’s recommended that patients remove their contact lenses because LATISSE™ solution contains benzalkonium chloride, a common preservative, which may be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Contacts may be reinserted 15 minutes following LATISSE™ administration. However, LATISSE™ is applied nightly.

Can patients continue to wear mascara while using LATISSE™?
Yes, patients can use mascara in addition to LATISSE™ solution.

Using LATISSE™ is easy: How to use
1. Once nightly, start by ensuring your face is clean, makeup and contact lenses are removed.
2. Remove an applicator from its tray. Then, holding the sterile applicator horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE™ solution on the area of the applicator closest to the tip but not on the tip.
3. Then immediate draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes (where the eyelashes meet the skin) going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part.
4. Blot any excess solution beyond the eyelid margin.
5. Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite upper eyelid margin using a new sterile applicator. This helps minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to another.
